How many students are in a vine and wine law program, take a class in viticulture law, or have an interest in this legal specialty? French students are well-represented in this discipline, but there are certainly numerous courses at many universities where this field of law is taught and studied.  While students can discuss wine law in classes such as rural law, intellectual property law, business law, no event exists around which they can come together.  With the view of bringing students to one forum to exchange and learn new ideas , this competition, sponsored by AIDV, was conceived for that purpose.

In what format?

For some time now, Mr. Ronan RAFFRAY has invited students to participate in the colloquiums that he organizes.

As many students are capable of producing near researcher-quality work, a competition in vine and wine law has been created to recognize the best five-minute student video on a subject. The annual competition, open to any student (excluding doctoral students) wishing to participate, consists of a panel of international experts who will select three wine law videos, whether recorded in French, English or Spanish.

Students may submit their videos to openwinelawcontest@gmail.com after registering on the open wine law website, under the "Competition" tab.

The three best presentations, chosen from among the French, English, or Spanish entries, will be presented with :

- By publishing the video

- By a prize of 1000€, 750€ or 500€ (euros) from AIDV and the distinction of 1st, 2nd or 3rd place as well as other awards from the University of Bordeaux

Good luck!
